The exhibition brings together a curated selection of experimental imaging tools: modified camera equipment, bespoke devices, and a newly built drawing machine. It’s a look inside the studio’s ongoing research, the prototypes, the failures, and the one‑off machines built to ask a single question: what is an image, really, and how do we make one?

[29], a Queer Rights Visual Album's first look by A-Gen-C

  • Arbeit Studios - Lisson Grove (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

[29] is a queer rights visual album that brings the Yogyakarta Principles to life through the power of art, transforming the world’s leading LGBTQ+ human rights framework into a non-conforming multimedia work.

[29] fuses music, film, fashion, photography, writing, rave culture and collective ritual into a celebration of the 29 experts from 25 countries who came together in 2006 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, to affirm that internationally recognised human rights apply equally and explicitly to LGBTQ+ people.

Watch one of the project’s video:

The Principles remain little known outside legal and activist circles. [29] seeks to change that. At its heart is a simple proposition: equality only matters if it is equality for all. A-Gen-C invites you to enter the world of [29].

Take a look at some of the beautiful, defiant, world-changing work they’ve just completed in the Philippines, India, Indonesia and Trinidad, where they’ve recently shot in Port of Spain and on the steps of the Privy Council in London, where the rights of millions of queer black and brown people across the Caribbean continue to be decided.

[29] is heading next to South Africa, Georgia and Ukraine and will share updates from their upcoming plans.

Attendants will be also welcome to sit and take part in a guided meditation led by Navtej Johar.

Understanding your Target Audience - Arbeit Studios Workshop Series

Continuing our Arbeit Studios Workshop Series taking place across our sites, we partnered with the University of Westminster Business School to bring to our studio holders and local community the workshop “Understanding your Target Audience”

Whether you're launching a new project or just want to sharpen your skills, this workshop will give you practical insights and tips straight from the University of Westminster Business School team.

A practical workshop that teaches businesses how to understand their customers and position their brand with clarity.

Participants explore who their real customer is (and whether that differs from their consumer), why this matters, and how customer insight shapes product, price, place and promotion. The session introduces core marketing frameworks including segmentation, targeting and positioning, customer personas, and brand personas.

Businesses will learn how to build and refine customer personas using guided templates, how to articulate their brand position, and how to shape key messages and channel choices. They’ll leave with practical frameworks they can apply to their own marketing plans, plus the tools to review and refine their approach over time.

Tickets: 1 ticket per business, single attendance

We ask you to please cancel if you cannot attend, so we can open to other businesses.

Exhibition "A New Home, Still Ours: The Caribbean Diaspora and The Rooms it Lives"

  • Arbeit Galleries - Lisson Grove (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

A New Home, Still Ours: The Caribbean Diaspora and The Rooms it Lives in by Rolstudio is an immersive exhibition exploring how Caribbean identity is lived, adapted, and reimagined across generations in Britain. Rather than presenting culture as fixed or nostalgic, it creates a lived‑in domestic environment shaped by memory, migration, ritual, and everyday life.

Visitors move through a series of intimate “rooms” that reflect storytelling, nourishment, inheritance, and the in‑between spaces of diasporic experience. The exhibition “responds to the diaspora by creating a space that feels lived‑in, intimate, and contemporary, a home rather than a display” . It highlights how heritage is “continuously formed through everyday life, through storytelling, ritual, nourishment, music, language, and shared spaces” .

Featuring new work by Rolstudio and collaborators, the exhibition blends furniture, objects, sound, and spatial design to express the evolving language of Black British‑Caribbean domestic life. It invites visitors to sit, pause, and recognise the emotional textures of home, identity, and belonging.

Mustard & Ketchup is the collaborative practice of Işık Bayraktar and Daniel Davies, a partnership formed in 2024 and rooted in collage, print, and the poetics of lived experience.

Işık’s work emerges from a profound period of recovery following severe illness and a heart transplant in 2014. Her practice draws on dreams, liminality, biology and the unseen layers of the everyday, shaped by a renewed way of sensing and navigating the world.

Daniel’s collages, developed over two decades, are informed by a lifelong fascination with album art, printed ephemera and the narratives that surface through collected fragments. His background in music and psychotherapy threads through the intuitive, associative nature of his compositions.

Together, their work explores temporality, perception and the shifting relationships between inner and outer worlds. This exhibition brings together a curated selection of recent and earlier pieces that speak to those shared themes

Mustard & Ketchup ends their exhibition at Trowbridge Gardens with a closing event this Friday 24th.
