As part of the London Design Festival Partner Programme, Arbeit Studios is hosting Imaging Devices and Prototypes, an installation by We Are Yes, marking 30 years of Martin’s practice and 10 years of the studio.
The exhibition brings together a curated selection of experimental imaging tools: modified camera equipment, bespoke devices, and a newly built drawing machine. It’s a look inside the studio’s ongoing research, the prototypes, the failures, and the one‑off machines built to ask a single question: what is an image, really, and how do we make one?
We Are Yes is a Hackney Wick–based imaging studio working across client commissions and long‑term experimentation. With image technology at its core, the practice explores how far imaging devices can be pushed, rebuilt, or reimagined.
This installation opens the doors to their studio at Trowbridge Gardens, offering visitors a close look at the tools and processes that shape their work.
We Are Yes
Founded on the belief that original work is never made alone, We Are Yes is a studio balancing client work, commissions and experimentation. Their practice centres on imaging technology: what it is, what it does, and how far it can be pushed.
