Our space at Arbeit Galleries, Trowbridge Gardens, will host an important conversation about the future of Hackney Wick’s streets.

In this co-design workshop, led by Hackney Council, local residents will learn about nature-based solutions, such as rain gardens, that could help reduce flooding, clean road runoff and make our streets greener. And, most importantly: will be able to share their valuable knowledge about the region.

As climate change becomes an increasingly visible reality, the risk of flooding is growing too. It’s more important than ever to think together about how we can make our streets more resilient and ready for the future.

And this is where your knowledge matters. The people who live, work and move through our streets every day know where water pools, which routes matter and what would actually work in everyday life.

That practical, lived experience is exactly what good design needs.
