Triangle Studios is pleased to host this installation as part of the London Design Festival Partner Programme, with the work presented through VSL Design Studio, a studio holder at Triangle Space.

Mama’s Bricks presents a locally made environmental brick installation exploring how ceramic architectural elements can contribute to more comfortable, responsive built environments.

Through perforated geometries and the natural porosity of clay, the bricks are designed to encourage natural ventilation, allow light to pass through, and support passive cooling. The installation demonstrates how traditional ceramic craft can be reinterpreted as a contemporary architectural system.

Alongside climate-responsive terracotta systems, Mama’s Bricks develops bespoke glazed bricks and tiles in collaboration with architects and designers. These elements explore surface, colour and architectural expression while retaining the material character and craft of ceramics.

At its core, Mama’s Bricks is rooted in a simple belief: improving the way we build can improve the way we live.
