Once again Arbeit Studios is part of the Open House Festival, and in 2026 we are opening the doors to our newest site: Arbeit Studios – Lisson Grove, a 1088m² multi‑level creative workspace designed by Brown Urbanism to bring long‑term, affordable studios back into Central London.
Guided by the architects behind the project, this is your chance to explore one of Westminster’s newest cultural spaces, normally accessible only to studio holders, artists and creative businesses clients, and see how we’re building a sustainable creative community in NW8.

Walk through 37 artist & creative businesses studios, our 22‑desk coworking floor and our gallery/exhibition space. You’ll see first-hand how the project evolved from an empty space to this lively creative hub.

Meet painters, sculptors, designers, ceramicists, photographers and makers working inside the building.
• Architecture & design insight
Learn how the building was re‑imagined through Brown Urbanism’s approach to low‑cost, high‑adaptability creative infrastructure, including acoustic treatments, natural‑light corridors, and flexible partitions that allow artists to shape their own space. A series of translucent partition systems define micro studio units, creating a series of light-filled islands interspersed with communal corridors, desk areas, and support facilities.

Open House Festival is London’s annual city‑wide celebration of architecture, design, and urban culture, where hundreds of buildings, studios, landmarks and normally‑closed spaces open their doors to the public. For one week each year, visitors can explore homes, civic buildings, creative workspaces, heritage sites, contemporary architecture, community projects and neighbourhood transformations across all 32 boroughs.
It’s designed to help Londoners understand how the city is built, who shapes it, and how design influences everyday life — through tours, talks, studio visits, guided walks, exhibitions and neighbourhood activations. The festival is free, open to everyone, and encourages people to discover new parts of the city, from major institutions to commercial spaces like ours, at Arbeit Studios - Lisson Grove (NW8).

Not this year. For Open House Festival 2026, only Arbeit Studios – Lisson Grove (NW8) will be participating.
In previous years, we opened The Loop — our circular, multi‑level creative workspace in Westminster — for both Open House 2024 and Open House 2025. Visitors explored its sculptural architecture, artist studios, and the elevated walkway that looped through the building, offering a rare look at how we transformed a disused commercial shell into an active creative hub.
The Loop has since closed as a workspace and is no longer active, so it isn’t part of the festival programme this year. Lisson Grove now represents our newest chapter in Westminster: a long‑term, purpose‑built home for artists, makers and creative businesses.
