Arbeit Studios Public Open Call 2026: Lisson Grove, Westminster, NW8

Arbeit Studios invites artists, designers and makers who live or work in Westminster to submit work for a group exhibition at Arbeit Galleries, Lisson Grove, running from December 2026 to January 2027.

Following Arbeit Studios’ recent win of Small Business of the Year at the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster Business Awards, this exhibition is our way of thanking the borough and celebrating the creativity, talent and diversity of our local community.

Theme: ‘What connects you to Westminster?’

This curated group exhibition will bring together work by local creatives, exploring the many ways we connect with the places, people and stories that make Westminster unique. If you live or work in the borough, we invite you to access the form and submit one to three artworks in response to the question: What connects you to Westminster?

We welcome a broad range of disciplines and approaches, from visual art, design and craft to photography, installation and interdisciplinary practices. We’re keen to showcase the diversity of creative work being made in our local community.

Perhaps you’ve photographed the local streets, painted your family home or created aa artwork that captures the character of the borough. Maybe your work references a musician who recorded an album nearby, or is a still life of a treasured antique found around the corner, or a photo of your commute to work. Your connection might be personal, historical, cultural or refers to an area, place or people in our local borough. All expressions are welcome.

Selected works will be chosen by the Arbeit Studios team and presented in our winter group exhibition (working title).

This exhibition forms part of Arbeit Studios in Conversation, a programme of events, workshops and talks designed to support small business owners and artists, providing opportunities to connect, share ideas and thrive.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors will be invited to contribute to a question-and-answer book, creating space for conversations between exhibiting artists and the wider community. Whether asking a question, sharing a perspective or discovering a new connection, everyone is welcome to take part.
