After the huge success of last year’s launch, we’re back! Join us on Thursday 18 September, from 5 to 9 PM, as the Hackney Wick and Fish Island Community Development Trust and Arbeit proudly open the doors of The Loop, Hackney’s first circular economy hub. Step inside studios led by local pioneers in sustainable design and meet the founders behind the most exciting eco-conscious brands.
The Loop is a space located in Hackney Wick that is host to circular economy businesses, helping them to scale their operations by connecting like-minded peers, helping trial new processes and undertaking R&D activities locally.
Visitors will have access to the warehouse building that is not usually accessible to the public day-to-day. They can connect and visit the studios of some of London’s leaders in the circular economy, learn about the unique community ownership model behind the project. Exclusive arts and crafts, designed and manufactured by the studio holders, will also be on display in a dedicated sales area.
The building will be open from 5 to 9pm on Thursday 18th September 2025.
In addition, visitors can see Growing Concerns, a much-loved East London garden centre who has found a new life at The Loop and allows local people to access a wide range of interesting and unusual plants, which change season to season. who are trading in the yard at The Loop. Growing Concerns will be trading in the yard at The Loop until 7pm.

The ground-floor studio space is accessible, but the first floor unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible.
There might be some noise, since participants will have the option to see maker spaces. However, this will be limited and not constant.
