Today we are celebrating The Loop, Hackney Wick’s first circular business hub, whose cycle comes to an end at our Wallis Road warehouse this May.
For over 2 years Arbeit Studios has been honoured to manage this hub and to meet the innovative minds behind so many creative businesses housed here during the period.
To celebrate everything that this former-warehouse-turned-creative-business-hub represents, Arbeit Studios, with the support of the Hackney Council’s Local Area Activation Fund, invites you to visit the space one last time and meet the people who brought this sustainable space to life.

Workshop Information
Flax processing workshop by Fantasy Fibre Mill
In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to extract flax fibres from the flax plant using hand tools. These fibres can then be spun and woven into linen fabric. There will be a spinning wheel for you have a try at hand spinning the fibres into yarn. They will also discuss the current state of flax to linen processing in the UK and the work taking place to restore linen production in a non-extractive, agro-ecological way.
Looply: Soft Plastic Upcycling Workshop
Turn waste into something personal. In this interactive session, you’ll learn how soft plastics are transformed into durable, tactile materials along with various hand-stitching methods - and customise your own unique Looply keychain to take home. All materials will be provided

This event is part of Hackney Council’s Local Area Activation Fund, which supports activities that bring Hackney Wick’s key routes and public spaces to life, encouraging people to visit local businesses, and creating moments of social connection with community organisations.
