We invite you to talk and we hope that many will listen!

What is podcasting?
Podcasting formally is ‘the preparation and distribution of audio files’. It is just like an online radio station, but one where you need to tune into a specific station, then you can listen on multiple platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Audible and many more.

The podcasting studio is the place where you can record yourself and others talking, upload it onto the web and distribute to the platforms for others to listen.

What can I talk about?
Maybe you would like to talk about a topic you are passionate about, read aloud that new book you’ve written, interview local artists, or have a conversation about the past, present and future of Hackney Wick - Podcasting is for everyone

We will not ask you to share your content with us, however Arbeit has an inclusive policy and if we notice a breach of our policies, we can prevent you from using the facilities at our discretion at any time without prior notice. Furthermore, we have no responsibility and have no liability over any content being produced at the facilities.

What about all the technical stuff?
Trowbridge Talks is a state-of-the-art podcasting studio, equipped with 4 stations, mixers, computer, large screen and all that you need to produce and record your own podcast.

It may seem complicated, but be reassured we have both text and video based guides for you to follow, which includes everything from turning on the equipment -  to uploading your first clip… and if you need further assistance we will host training and induction days for you to attend too.

How do I get involved?
For the first few months until the end of the year, we offer the studio for a FREE taster session. The offer is for local people and local groups (with a proof of address). This taster session is up to 3 hours at agreed times, during working hours. You will need to book in advance and will be subject to availability.

Please email trowbridgelistens@gmail.com, header ‘Trowbridge Talks’, with proposed dates for hiring, how many people and what you would like to talk about.

We invite you to talk, so the world can hear you.
